ESA001: Enterprise Search Architect

The Enterprise Search Architect serves as the technical leader for our search and content delivery engagements. Responsibilities include:

• Work with clients to produce enterprise search and KM strategies for their organizations.
• Recommend tools and applications (search engines, content management, taxonomy, metadata managment, etc.)
• Design effective systems and business processes for information management
• Develop taxonomies and classification models for the enterprise
• Work closely with our developers to produce and integrate finished systems
• Technology transfer and ongoing assessments

Requirements include a college degree in computer science, library science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), and at least 3 years of in-depth, hands-on experience creating KM, Search, or Information Management systems. Project management or consulting experience is a plus; strong communication and problem-solving skills are a necessity. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a highly distributed team of professionals.

We prefer candidates with deep expertise in at least one of the following: FAST Search, Verity, Lucene, Google, Endeca, Convera. Experience with CMS tools like Vignette, Documentum and OpenText is a plus. Expertise in web application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS, JRun) and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) is highly desirable.

In addition, technologies that Credo specializes in include: Java J2EE, JavaScript, Ajax, .NET/C#, DHTML, CSS, SQL, XML, XSL, XPath, XQuery, SOAP, RDF. Expertise in any of these is always a plus.
